Let us make this planet thrive the way it makes us thrive

New single ‘Let You In’ is out now on all platforms.

Combining elements of African, Afro-Caribbean and European music connects us at our core and helps to work against the still predominant borders we have built over time between our different cultures, looks and beliefs.

Celebrating our differences and the ways that we’ve been raised is key for progress in this world.

What Citrus Hues stands for.

During our studies in London we both realised quickly, that our influences had one big thing in common; The world with all its different sceneries and cultures. With this in mind we created Citrus Hues. It shall become a community for open minded, culture and nature interested people that love to experience new things whenever they can and try to create something that can give something back to the world.

While travelling at the end of the year 2020 we came up with the idea of how we can give something back to planet, the same way that the planet gives us inspiration, broadens our mind and let’s us enjoy our life’s journey. Turns out! It’s quite simple for all of us. The streaming/music-listening community makes it possible to make an enormous positive impact on this planet. The more we build this community, the more we can all do together.

Let us go on this journey together, celebrate the landscapes, people and cultures that we come across on the way and praise the giving-back and open-mindedness of our community.

This is Citrus Hues.

Easnadh.

I’m a vocalist and songwriter from both Ireland and the Netherlands. I’ve travelled a lot in my life and have gained various world views in the process. This resulted in not knowing what i can call ‘home’. Previously, I studied Nursing but after realising I wasn’t doing what i loved I decided to 100% go for music. These experiences have shaped how I feel about being committed to doing what you love and not being scared to leave something behind and start again in a different place. I enjoy the freedom that comes with this.

Timon and I are doing this project together because we share the same beliefs and view the world in a similar way.

Timon.

I’m a Swiss-Namibian producer/audio engineer and writer. Growing up in both Switzerland and Namibia gave me the chance to get to know and love two different cultures that couldn’t be further apart from each other.

Over the years I realised that neither Switzerland nor Namibia feel like the perfect fit for me as my mentality and worldview are a mixed version of those two countries. Since then I have been moving and travelling regularly in the search for my perfect place to call home.

Citrus Hues means Family, Community and open-mindedness.

Planting 10,000 trees until summer 2022.

We need your help!

- stream by stream -

Is it possible to give back to nature while simply leaning back, enjoying the occasional barbecue session with friends or just daydreaming? Yes! Streaming music is the solution. For every 1000 streams on one of our songs or every additional 100 followers on one of our streaming platform profiles, we are able to plant a tree together.

We can understand that not everyone likes our music and also wants to listen to other music while planting trees, therefore we have come up with many different ways for you to plant and support this project.

How about checking out our playlists to get your daydreams flowing?

We’ve been working day and night on this project that we think could have and be a great future. While we’re really excited to be launching it in Earth month April, the work will never stop. Be sure to check out our Stream by Stream website to be sure not to miss anything! We’re looking forward to be making a positive impact together with you!

Join us on our journey and share yours!
